Let it rain, let it rain let it rain!!! We designed this baby shower for little Rainer and are so excited how it turned out! This rain themed baby shower was such a joy to create, the mom and dad to be were themes darling to watch together and the hostess of the year, our client Sara, was such a fun client to work with. She just let us run with what we had in mind and trusted us every step of the way. There is NOTHING better than that! We love you Sara!!

Charlottes Web Birthday Party | Marin Party Planner

Every detail about this party was custom and designed in-house by the Katie Rebecca Events team. We wanted to make sure all the kids were entertained just as they would be at a fair so we created game stations with all the classic carnival games. The animal signs placed at each game were hand drawn and cut by the Katie Rebecca Events creative team and lended a playful touch to the party theme. When they won a game we had a winners board that had a large collection of toys for them to pick a prize! 

Custom linens were created for the food and drink stations and the guests especially liked the denim table next to the lemonade stand. The mason jars were covered with a fun lace around the mouth to add a little extra charm and the lemonade stand was designed and painted just for the party. 

The kids tent was so fun to put together with custom covered pillows on the ground for them to sit on, fun and festive galvanized trays for their food plates and sweet glass mason jars and milk bottles for their lemonade. Getting to sit under their own tent and be with their friends was great. 

The food was all carnival themed with pretzel bites, sliders, flavored popcorn bar, tater tots with blackberry bbq sauce and grilled corn on the cob. The parents also got to enjoy slushy sangrias to stay cool at the event. 

The kids enjoyed face painting and balloons and all the carnival games while the parents were able to relax and hang out on the property. As guests left they were treated to custom animal cookies and a bag of cotton candy. 

The whole day was perfect and while it’s almost impossible for us to list all of the tiny details that were created for the day,  we do know none of the guests wanted to leave and we saw plenty of grown ups getting prizes from the winner’s board. All signs of a fantastic first birthday party!!

Any parent of a toddler can tell you they personally know Angelina Ballerina, are friends with Thomas the train and would happily allow a play date with Wibbly Pig. I myself have gotten to know these three characters and a handful more very well the past year and it was so much fun bringing them into this amazing two year birthday party. I might be biased but this is my favorite party to date....and it's not just because I got to plan a party for my little guy :) 

Marin Dinner Party | Marin Wedding Planner

The previous post I wrote all about our little kiddos 1st birthday recap. 

After a fun day of kids events we then turned it over to the adults and had a catered dinner party in our backyard. Best night ever!! If you have young kids make sure the birthday parties you throw are mostly geared to the parents since the kids don't have much of a say in these first years. If you have a lot of family and friends coming from out of town having a dinner at the end of the night is the perfect thank you and appreciation of them coming to send them off. 

Oh and having a smores bar and a whiskey bar for the guys is always helpful :) 

We served BBQ to our guests with all the fixins.

All the cotton napkins were hand stamped and for the guests to take with them to use as dishtowels at home. 

We made layered jello cups for a sweet refreshing dessert before starting the smores bar 

We made custom beer bottle labels from "Beckett Brewery" which every guy got a kick out of as well as made a man bar rules sign. Husband really pulled out all the stops for that one and made it awesome! Photography- Katie Rain Photography 

Little Man Birthday Party | Marin Event Planner

Nothing makes a parents more happy then their kiddos first birthday. Nothing also makes a Mom have a heart attack then her kiddo turning 1 and no longer being a baby. 

Ok times that by a million when that same mom is an event planner and is planning her own son's party. That was me, last year. Time stop going so fast so I can enjoy this little man.
